11th RQR Symposium
The 11th RQR Symposium will be held on November 13th and 14th, 2018 at New Residence Hall in Montréal.
Don’t delay because places are limited to 200 participants!

Lodging
A standard room block is reserved for the RQR at the Delta Montreal Hotel as follows:
– Single or double occupancy: $ 217 + taxes;
– Triple occupancy: $ 237 + taxes;
– Quadruple occupancy: $ 257 + taxes

Pre-Symposium workshop
The pre-Symposium workshop will take place on November 12th, 2018 at McGill’s Glen site – Bloc E-RI auditorium E S1.1129 from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The theme of this year Pre-Symposium Workshop is “Reproduction in Exotic and Wild Life Species”. The workshop is free for members and collaborators of the RQR as well as for their trainees but the registration is mandatory due to a limited number of places.

Following the workshop, up to 8 participants (trainees and professors) will be given the opportunity to have dinner with the speakers. If you are interested in this opportunity you must contact Charlène Rico by email: charlene.rico@umontreal.ca.
Knowledge transfer award
As part of the 2018 Symposium, the RQR will present two Knowledge Transfer (KT) awards: a researcher award and a trainee award. These two awards, in the amount of $400 each, will be officially presented at the annual RQR Symposium in November, accompanied by an honorary plaque. To submit an application, please complete the form and send it by email to charlene.rico@umontreal.ca before October 1st, 2018. Please note that it is also possible to nominate another member, either a trainee or a researcher.
RQR co-supervision bursary program
The RQR co-supervision bursary program now open. The bursary program is for newly recruited graduate and postdoctoral trainees who are co-supervised by two regular members of the RQR. Eligible trainees can apply until November 1st, 2018 by completing the following form: https://goo.gl/forms/IjLMoQpAnSGZ2yY72 The final bursary amounts and their recipients will be officially announced at the Symposium. The final budget for this competition will be $150,000, so please take full advantage of this exceptional opportunity!
FRQNT international intership program
Are you aware that the FRQNT has opened their International internship competition, for which RQR students are eligible ? Program details are available here. Any students wishing to apply must complete the attached form and send it to Charlene Rico no later than October 1st. The RQR is permitted to submit up to two applications to the FRQNT. An internal competition will therefore be held if more than two applications are received.
