Research interests
Dr. Muhittin Tekin’s research interests focus on optimizing reproduction in farm animals, with particular emphasis on bovine reproduction and large-animal theriogenology. His veterinary medicine background and bovine reproduction residency support a clinical and applied approach to improving the diagnosis, prevention, and management of fertility problems in herds.
His activities align with animal health, dairy production, and reproductive biotechnology, with an emphasis on female reproductive health. They may include reproductive management, ovarian function, oestrous synchronization, artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis, and the assessment of clinical and management factors that influence fertility and reproductive performance in females. This orientation aims to support herd productivity, animal welfare, and the sustainability of agricultural enterprises.
As a lecturer, he also contributes to clinical training in large-animal theriogenology and to knowledge transfer for students, veterinarians, and producers.
